The Silesian Museum (Muzeum Śląskie) is a large museum located in the city of Katowice, which is located in the Silesia region of Poland. The museum was founded in 1929 and reopened after a complete reconstruction in 2015.

One of the most impressive features of the Silesian Museum is its modern architecture, which seamlessly blends the historic buildings of the former coal mine with contemporary structures. The museum's main building is a striking, angular structure made of glass, steel, and concrete that sits atop the site's original coal washing plant.

SDS was responsible for the design of post tensioned beams throughout the whole underground structure.
